Wyndward is peacefully tucked away from the crowds on a quiet cul-de-sac in Upton Towans. The south-west facing garden is a sun trap, protected by the dunes from high winds.
Out of the garden gate and you're straight into Upton Towans Nature Reserve, a picturesque warren of sand dunes leading to the sea. The dunes themselves are a playground for kids and adults, perfect for runs and walks. They also make a stunning vantage point for sunset-watching, barbecues and picnics with views along the coast stretching for miles.
Walk through the dunes from the house and you can be down on a wide open and quiet section of beach in ten minutes. Here you're met with three miles of golden sand that draw in surfers, windsurfers, beachgoers and walkers.
The beauty of Wyndward’s location in Upton Towans is that our section of the beach is open to dogs all year round, and as there are no beach car parks at this point, you can find you have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in the height of summer.
Turn left and you can walk for miles into Hayle estuary and beyond. Turn right and soon you're at lifeguard-patrolled Gwithian beach, with rock pools at low tide and the stunning National Trust Godrevy headland and lighthouse with its seal spotting opportunities.
There are some great eateries and pubs nearby, and it's a few minutes drive to M&S, Lidl & Boots at Hayle roundabout. St Ives with its wonderful galleries, shops and restaurants is only 15 minutes by car or train. And with easy access to the A30, Wyndward also makes a great location for exploring further afield.
